Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary Dance, Practitioner Study and Employment Opportunities in Performing Arts

Shannon is a performer, choreographer, and educator who has trained in dance, singing, and acting from the age of three, including performing in the West End production of Billy Elliot.

Shannon went on to complete her full-time professional training at Italia Conti, before furthering her academic training with a top-up degree at Middlesex University. As a vocalist, she has performed several times at The Royal Albert Hall, including as part of the BBC Proms.

Alongside her performance career, Shannon has worked as a choreographer, creating choreography for artists performing on the main stage at London Pride in Trafalgar Square, among other projects. She also spent two and a half years performing her own solo cabaret across Spain’s Costa Blanca, building extensive experience as a live vocalist and entertainer. Shannon continues performing as a live vocalist up and down the country when she is not teaching.

With a passion for developing the next generation of performers, Shannon returned to Italia Conti to complete a Master’s Degree in Creative Arts Education, graduating with Distinction. Her extensive experience across performance, choreography and education allows her to bring both professional industry insight and a strong understanding of performer development to her teaching.

At Stageworks, Shannon’s role extends beyond the studio. Alongside teaching, she is involved in the wider running and promotion of the college, attending school careers events, organising Experience Days and audition days, and supporting students throughout the admissions process. She also manages the college’s social media presence and creates graphics and promotional materials, including posters, flyers and marketing campaigns. This combination of creative, educational and administrative experience gives Shannon a broad understanding of both the student journey and the wider running of a performing arts college.
